OWNERS STORY: (a little bit of background on why Playa Blanca and Lanzarote).
All our lives we’ve been enjoying the warm all year round climate of the Canary Islands, but about ten years ago we discovered the beauty and peace of Lanzarote. We then returned time after time, staying in different parts of the island, and eventually decided to put roots down in Playa Blanca.

There we found a peaceful fishing village with beautiful unspoilt golden beaches surrounded by stunning landscapes. Over the ensuing five years we bought a piece of land near the sea and built our villa. A project that should have taken two years but was eventually four, we finally occupied in June 2004. A labour of love.
Playa Blanca has since “grown up” a little but still retains its peace and charm and is quite the best location on the island to relax and take advantage of the year round sun and outdoor life.
Whether you enjoy good food, the beach, walking, water sports, every land based sport imaginable, art or just lazing by the pool in the comfort of a private villa, there is something for everyone. Thanks to the famous artist and architect Cesar Manrique, who made his life’s work to ensure Lanzarote remained a World Heritage site, the whole island has so much to offer in unspoilt villages, open spaces, views and coastal areas.
Recently, a magnificent new marina (Marina Rubicon) has been opened just 5 minutes drive from the villa. Boat lovers will be in heaven, as will gourmets & shopaholics, as there you will find hundreds of power boats and yachts surrounded by classically designed buildings offering quality shops, bars restaurants & other water borne activities.
